I love the idea of Throwback Thursday. Reminiscing precious memories solidifies the moment and allows others to revel in your personal narrative. But what about those "throwbacks" that aren't documented? Here's one of my favorite childhood times that is embedded simply in my mind. Our parents had a fancy pants stereo that had a turntable, 8 track player AND an AM/FM radio. I thought we were so cool. My brother, Micah, and I were often up earlier than Mom on Sunday mornings. When Samurai Sunday (where they played Kung Fu movies ALLLLLL DAYYYY) wasn't on just yet we would find the Flash Gordon tape and grab our sleeping bags. We called it the worm game but it wasn't really a game at all. It involved getting head first into a sleeping bag each after pressing play on the stereo. We would inch our way around the living room, bumping into furniture and walls, breathing in our own warm kid breath and giggling for hours. GORDON'S ALIVE!
