Sketchshop Course: Watercolor Art Class @ The Art Institute of Chicago

The one day course, part of the Sketchshop series, will take place at the inimitable Art Institute of Chicago from 11am to 2pm, meeting inside the Contemporary Wing entrance. The course will be an intensive and fun day of viewing, discussing and making art.  This course is a hybrid and focuses on 2D art history and an introductory watercolor course focusing on drawing from life and focusing on composition, color and perspective.  The museum has a wealth of material to use as reference and practice your drawing techniques.  Material cost is included and will be provided. Materials can be purchased to keep for an additional cost*. The variety of mediums we will use include watercolor on cold press arches archival watercolor paper, 3@ 4”x6”.  


Admission to the museum is included in the cost of the workshop to use during and/or after our course.  Reservations are required in advance, so please contact me Register for a Workshop  to secure your spot. $46 per person and this class is limited to five students.
